14 kidnapped Ekiti Church Members Regain Freedom After Over 67 Days in Captivity.

14 out of 15 worshippers who were abducted from a church during a night vigil on April 28, 2026, in Eda Oniyo, Ilejemeje Local Government Area, Ekiti State, have now regained their freedom after more than 67 days in captivity.

The victims were released yesterday and were later taken to the State Teaching Hospital.

One of the worshippers died (or was possibly killed) while in captivity by the terrorists.

Story time.

A conductor insulted an old man today because he was short of ₦200 for transport.

The old man kept searching all his pockets while everyone in the bus looked away like they didn’t notice.

One lady quietly brought out ₦500 and paid for him.

The conductor collected the money and still said, “Next time, stay at home if you don’t have money.”

The old man just smiled and sat down.

About 20 minutes later,………..
The bus suddenly developed a fault in the middle of the road. Everybody came down, including the conductor who was shouting for help.

Guess who fixed the bus?

The same old man.

Apparently he was a retired mechanic returning from a hospital visit.

He repaired the problem in less than five minutes. The driver was shocked.

When the driver asked how much they should pay him, the old man pointed at the lady who helped him and said:

“Give her the money. She saw me before she saw my situation.”

Nobody said a word after that.

Some people are not poor. They are just having a hard day.
